What are Deployable LC IP68 Fibre Cables with Sliding Covers and what are the available options?
Our LC IP68 Fibre Cables with Sliding Cover fibre range is available in 2 and 4 core versions. These can be supplied on handy re-deployable fibre cables. We use LC uni-boot connectors and IP68 protection bodies with removable caps. The connector sits inside the IP68 body and with the gland tightened and cap installed, IP rating is offered.
These deployable cables are available in various options and can be customised to suit your requirements. The cable is MilTac (MILitary TACtical) and designed for repeated deployment or otherwise known as re-deployable fibre cables.

LC Uni Boot to LC Uni Boot
This LC Uni Boot to LC Uni Boot Deployable Cables come with the IP68 protection bodies with removable caps. The LC uni-boot sits inside of the housing.  This product is unique as once the gland is tightened and the cap is installed on the end, the IP rating is maintained however still provides you with the option of sliding out the connector to expose the LC end. Once the cable has been deployed, remove the tethered cap and loosen the gland so the connector can slide out of the body and you can then plug the connector directly into an LC adapter.Â
LC Uni Boot to LC IP68 Bulkhead Adapter
We can offer the IP68 fibre cable assembly with embedded IP68 Bulkhead adapters and broadcast adapters dependent on your chosen application.  The LC Unit Boot to LC IP68 Bulkhead Adapter deployable fibre cable option comes with the uni-boot connector and IP68 protection body with removable caps on one end.  On the other end there is a selection of LCIP68 adapters embedded in the centre of the reel.  Once the cable is deployed the reel can be patched to as required from the adapter to the equipment. If you are required to maintain an IP rated connection between the drum end of your cable reel and your equipment then we can also supply an LC IP68 to standard connector patch lead which can be connected directly to the embedded adapters offering your IP68 seal.Â
LC Uni Boot to LC IP68 Adapter
This LC Uni Boot to LC IP68 Adapter Deployable Cable comes with the uni-boot connector and IP68 protection body with removable caps on one end of the cable. At the other end, a selection of Broadcast Adapters are embedded in the centre of the reel. Once the cable is deployed the reel can be patched to as required from the adapter to the equipment. However there is no option for an IP rated seal when using Broadcast Adapters.
The LC IP68 Fibre Cable with Sliding Cover really is the perfect product if you are looking for direct connections but still want to maintain high protection against dust, sand and water ingress whilst in transit. There is no complicated removal for installation, simply remove, loosen and plug in making it the perfect portable deployable fibre assembly.

Each LC IP68 fibre cable connector body comes with a cap which is retained on a lanyard when not in use . Whilst our examples are shown on cable reels that aid with deployment and retrieval we can also offer these cables without reels on shorter lengths.  Please also see our LC IP68 deployable cables and our Standard Termination options if the sliding cover doesn’t quite meet your needs.
