Our fibre optic pigtails consist of a short length of 900um fibre that has a connector terminated at one end. Fibre optic pigtails offer a quick alternative to direct termination by fusion splicing the pigtails directly to the backbone fibre cabling.

Fibre Optic Pigtails
Fibre Optic Pigtails consist of a short length of 900um fibre that has a connector terminated at one end. Our standard stock length pigtails are 1m in length. Pigtails offer a quick alternative to direct termination by fusion splicing the pigtails directly to the backbone fibre cabling. The fusion splices are normally protected within containment such as fibre optic patch panels, wall boxes or similar. We can offer a wide variety of connectors and each connector has a strain relief boot.

- Fibre conforms to or exceeds all relevant ISO/IEC, TIA/EIA and ITU standards
- Insertion Loss – Max. 0.3dB typical 0.2dB
- Operating Temperature -40ºC to +85ºC

All assemblies are fully tested prior to delivery and supplied with test results. Most common connector types and fibre modes are available in stock. OS2 singlemode pigtails are supplied with yellow jacket, OM4 and OM3 multimode pigtails are supplied with an aqua jacket, OM2 multimode pigtails are supplied with an orange jacket and OM1 multimode pigtails are supplied with a white jacket as standard.
