Our UK made Pre Terminated Fibre Cables are a fantastic choice for both indoor and outdoor applications. Fully customisable to suit your requirements , our fibre preterms are specifically designed to make the installation of fibre optic backbone links easier due to their plug and play design. They are also a budget friendly option removing the cost of fibre engineers to install and terminate on site and are available on short lead times.

All of our pre terminated fibre optic cables are fully tested before they are shipped and each unit is supplied with a detailed test report. Our standard pre terminated fibre cables are supplied on cable reels (when 50m or above) for easy deployment. Each end has a clear pulling sock to protect the fibre terminations of the fibre preterms on installation making for a seamless process. Available in singlemode (OS2) & multimode (OM1, OM2, OM3 & OM4), Tight Buffered, Loose Tube, CSTA, SWA, MPO & MTP Trunk Cables, MPO & MTP Fanout Cables, Mil tac & Specialist options.

Tight Buffered Pre-Terminated Fibre Cables

Ark Fibre Optics specialises in custom preterminated cables (sometimes known as fiber preterms, preterminated fiber / cable or simply pre terms) for internal and external use. Our preterminated cables are designed to make the installation of fibre optics as easy and hassle free as possible. Our Tight buffered cable pre terms are an effective way of installing a fibre link between two locations within a building or even from building to building. Our custom fibre optic cable assemblies are all UK made and are available in 4 to 24 Core Pre-terminated Fibre Optic Cables, Tight Buffered, Loose Tube, Corrugated Steel Tape Armoured, Steel Wire Armoured, OM3, OM4, OS2 with all termination options available.

Loose Tube Pre terminated Fibre Optic Cables

The Loose Tube Cable preterminated fiber has a gel filled central tube which protects the fibres and also offers protection against water ingress. Due to this, the preterminated cable is more suited to external applications where the cable might be installed into ducting that may be flooded from time to time.

Steel Tape Armoured Pre Terminated Fibre

Our corrugated steel tape armoured pre terminated fibre cables (also known as CSTA cable) have a similar construction to the loose tube pre terminated cables but with an added steel tape protection layer beneath the cable jacket. This steel tape offers greater protection and makes the cables suitable for direct burial as well as offering rodent protection. These fiber preterms are less flexible than the tight buffered and loose tube pre-terminated fibre cables.

Steel Wire Armoured Pre-Terminated Fibre

Ark Fibre Optics’ steel wire armoured preterminated fiber cables (sometimes known as SWA cable) have a similar construction to the corrugated steel tape cables but instead of a steel tape protection layer there is a steel wire protection beneath the cable jacket. This steel wire offers a much more robust protection and makes the pre-terminated fibre cables suitable for direct burial as well as offering superior rodent protection. These fiber preterms are less flexible and heavier than the tight buffered, loose tube and CSTA pre-terminated fibre options.

MPO & MTP Pre-Terminated Fibre Trunk Cables

Our MTP pre-terminated fibre trunk cables provide the backbone for data centre cabling. Female version of MTP connectors are used mainly for direct interconnection of MTP to LC modules or MTP to LC(SC) fanouts. Standard 12-fiber MTP pre-terminated trunk cables are widely used in the data centre industry providing the rack to rack cable interconnection. Round thin 3.0mm cable optimise the data centre airflow and reduces the cable bulk of installation. MPO & MTP Fanout Pre Terminated Fibre Cables

Our simple MTP to LC pre terminated fibre duplex fanout allows you to split the parallel 12-fiber link into individual duplex connections. The round thin cable, combined with the compact and robust design of the fanout, allows rapid deployment of high density patching in SAN and LAN in data centre.
